As well as paying the rent, you may also be required to make the following payments.
Permitted payments:
Before the tenancy starts (payable to ‘the Agent’)
Holding Deposit: 1 week’s rent
Deposit: 5 weeks’ rent
Should you withdraw from the offer or fail the referencing by providing false or misleading information or fail to supply the adequate documents needed to complete the referencing in a reasonable time, you may be at risk of losing the holding deposit.
During the tenancy (payable to the Agent)
-Payment of £50 will be charged if you request to amend the tenancy agreement.
-Pay interest on any amounts of Rent overdue by more than 14 days at the rate of 3% above the Bank of England annual base rate calculated on a day to day basis from the date that the same shall become due until payment is made in full.
-Payment for the reasonably incurred costs for the loss of keys/security devices. Where a locksmith must be called you will be charged for their services.
-Payment of any unpaid rent or other reasonable costs associated with your early termination of the tenancy
During the tenancy (payable to the provider) if permitted and applicable:
Utilities – gas, electricity, water, council tax, TV License
Communications – telephone and broadband
Installation of cable/satellite
Subscription to cable/satellite supplier
Other permitted payments
Any other permitted payments, not included above, under the relevant legislation including contractual damages.
